LEATHER THICKNESS: 0.9 mm – 1.1 mm
Cover-dyed leathers are the most commonly used leather types. The hide is sanded, base-dyed and grained (embossed) to mimic the natural pattern of the leather. Grain types come in different heights, with thicker hides generally having a stronger grain. The intensive processing allows for the use of most hide types and therefore a lower price.
The leather is finished with surface dyeing and a layer of varnish, which increases durability and makes it easier to clean.
