Size and dimensioning - how to choose the right carpet

In the living room, successful sizing is immediately visible: the edge of the rug should reach at least under the front legs of the sofa , and it is worth leaving 20-30 cm of bare floor around the seating area so that the boundary of the space feels clear. When choosing a rug under the dining table, add to the dimensions the amount of the chairs that can be pulled out - about 60-70 cm from the edge of the table in each direction, so that the chairs can move smoothly. For a hallway rug, a width of 60-80 cm works in many hallways; the length is chosen so that the rug leaves a little floor visible at the ends.
