Surface material and care instructions
The table surface is wood veneer, specifically oak veneer. Wood veneer is a thin layer of wood glued to a supportive material, such as MDF or particle board.
Care must be taken during cleaning to prevent excessive moisture from penetrating seams, which can cause the veneer to detach. Use a lightly dampened cloth and dry the surface immediately. Do not use strong chemicals for cleaning under any circumstances. Do not place wood veneered furniture in direct sunlight.
An essential part of wood veneer maintenance is regular oiling or waxing. Depending on the wood type, choose a suitable care product – for example, oak and other hard woods benefit from different products than softer woods like pine.
